La víctima se llamaba Mashal Khan y estaba inscripto en la carrera de Periodismo y omunicaciones de masa en la universidad de Abdul Wali Khan en Mardan, en la provincia pakistaní de Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. La policía denuncia que nunca se habían presentado denuncias contra los dos muchachos. Según fue relatado, algunos estudiantes habrían pedido a los dos jóvenes que recitaran versículos del orán y, ante su negativa, se habría desatado la violencia. Según el Rev. Jimmy Mathew, obispo luterano de Mardan, el brutal linchamiento sería fruto de la “rivalidad entre dos grupos antagonistas”. “He hablado con algunos jóvenes del lugar, que me han contado que en el pasado ya se habían dado enfrentamientos. ( Timothy 4:6) PORED OT LIKE A DRINK OFFERING. On the last day of an Open Doors seminar in South Africa, students shared how they thought the hurch should prepare for persecution. One man shared his son’s story and its impact It was at the time when the pupils rioted, burning schools, churches, shopping centres, town councillors’ houses and mercilessly attacking anyone whom they regarded as a ‘sell-out.’
Each morning his sturdy, neatly dressed, thirteen-year-old hristian son wound his way through the mounds of rubble towards school, amidst the mocking of other youths wandering the smoke-filled streets. Later he would walk home, while the teachers, frightened by the threatening mobs, locked themselves in their homes.
One particular morning, after the family devotions, his parents watched as he walked off to school. At the school grounds, a mob blocked the gate. He walked undeterred through the gate and greeted them with a nod and a friendly smile.
He was in the centre of the mob when they closed in around him blocking any further progress. One older gang leader, tall and powerfully built, grabbed the strap of his school bag and pulled him to a standstill. He glared at him and growled, “As a hristian you have always been on time for school, never late, never missing a day. You have always been praised by those ‘sell-out’ teachers for knowing and doing your school work in spite of our revolutionary slogan, ‘liberation now, education later.’ Today, you will have to decide for our revolution or else.”
“I have decided to have nothing to do with your revolution,” the boy replied unwaveringly. He remembered what his father taught on compromise in times of persecution.
With a curse the bully pushed him backwards into the mob. Blows rained on him and he tried in vain to ward it off, then a knife flashed in the sun, a second, and a third. Hours later, a policeman knocked on the door of his parent’s home.
The father still lives in that house and preaches the love of hrist to the same community. Peace has returned to the township, but hardly a day passes without a passer- by, or a message scribbled on the garden wall, reminding him of that day.
The father says, “I greet them and smile at them in the hope that the testimony of my life and my willingness to forgive will eventually carry the light of hrist into their hearts, replacing the spirit of bitterness darkening their lives. I know by going back there to train the church leaders I am at risk of my life being ‘poured out like a drink offering’ just like the apostle Paul.”

Il movimento ebraico sul Monte del Tempio sono eccitati per la recente elezione di Donald Trump. Sanno molto bene che la ricostruzione del tempio ebraico nel mondo di oggi sarebbe un compito pericoloso e politicamente scorretto. A loro avviso, se c'è qualche leader politico moderno, con il coraggio e la determinazione a stare dietro a un progetto del genere, potrebbe essere il presidente Trump.
Biblicamente, molti cristiani affermano che il tempio ebraico sarà ricostruito ad un certo punto della Fine dei Tempi. Rispetto al Presidente Trump, il presidente russo Vladimir Putin potrebbe sembrare un ancora più improbabile yrus. Molti sarebbero invece lo vedono come un potenziale ‘Gog’ - uno dei grandi nemici Ora fine di Israele.
Il Sinedrio, tuttavia, sono basando la loro lettera a Putin su relazioni positive non verificati riguardanti l'atteggiamento di Putin al Monte del Tempio.

The Jewish Temple Mount movement are excited over the recent election of Donald Trump. They know very well that rebuilding the Jewish temple in today’s world would be a dangerous and politically incorrect task. In their view, if there is any modern political leader with the guts and determination to stand behind such a project, it could be President Trump.
Biblically, many hristians affirm that the Jewish temple will be rebuilt at some point in the End Times. ould President Trump’s strong pro-Israel stand be the game changer which could help lay the groundwork? What role would President Putin play in the mix?
The yrus Mandate
A number of hristian leaders, including author Lance Wallnau, have been comparing Trump to the Biblical King yrus.
While several hristian bible teachers have pointed out similarities with yrus, few have raised the point that a primary part of yrus’ divine calling was to order the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem (Isaiah 44:8, Ezra 1:). If President Trump really has a similar calling to King yrus, could it be that God would use this real estate developer turned President to facilitate the greatest property development of modern time – the rebuilding of the Temple?
Within days of the election victory, long time Temple Mount advocate and now prominent member of the Israeli Knesset Rabbi Yehudah Glick, issued a public call inviting Trump to visit the Temple Mount.
This call was followed days later by an open letter from the re-convened Jewish Sanhedrin. The open letter addressed BOTH Russian President Putin and the new S President Trump – asking them both to fulfil the yrus mandate of enabling the rebuilding of the Temple.
Rabbi Hillel Weiss, who serves as spokesman for the Sanhedrin, explained that Donald Trump’s rise to power had ‘made the eternal Jewish dream a very real possibility’. Trump’s strong stand in support of the Jewish claim to Jerusalem and the West Bank (Biblically known as Judea and Samaria) has led to the Sanhedrin to the belief that he could also support full Israeli rights to the Temple Mount.
ompared to President Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin might seem like an even more unlikely yrus. Many would instead view him as a potential ‘Gog’ – one of Israel’s great End Time enemies.
The Sanhedrin however are basing their letter to Putin on unverified positive reports concerning Putin’s attitude to the Temple Mount.
The optimism of the Sanhedrin is palpable. Rabbi Weiss explains “We are poised to rebuild the Temple. The political conditions today, in which the two most important national leaders in the world support the Jewish right to Jerusalem as their spiritual inheritance, is historically unprecedented”.
While the Sanhedrin is looking for a yrus type figure to arise to help support the building of the Third Temple, many hristians tend to link the rebuilding of the Temple not with a yrus but rather with the anti-hrist himself.
The Scriptures appear clear that the coming anti-hrist will defile the temple, but we shouldn’t necessarily equate foreign leaders who facilitate the rebuilding with the coming anti-hrist.
Jewish leaders have pointed out that the gematria (numerical value) of Donald Trump’s name equals that of the phrase ‘Meshiach Ben David’ (Messiah, Son of David). These same rabbis are quick to point out that they do not believe that Trump is the Messiah (just as well!). They view the gematria of Trump’s name as an indication of him playing a role in the ‘redemptive process’ – a role in preparing the conditions for the Messiah’s arrival. What could prepare the way for the Messiah more than the rebuilding of the Temple?
There is great excitement within the Temple Movement in Israel that the time might be drawing near for the long desired rebuilding of the House of God. While the Sanhedrin is obviously excited about the rise of Trump and rumours of Putin being supportive, it is still early days, and we have no definite statements from either leader to support these assumptions. As believers we should none-the-less be watching these developments, praying for God’s prophesied purposes to be accomplished, and checking our own spiritual lives to make sure that we are ready to meet the soon coming King. Guy Harpigny, Vescovo di Tournay, ha infatti risposto a nome dei vescovi francofoni del Belgio, a capo del omitato Organizzatore dell’L, alla petizione lanciata a sostengo del prof. Mercier. Il presule ha dichiarato che il testo ‘La filosofia per la vita. ontro un preteso diritto di scegliere l’aborto’ (scritto da Mercier per i suoi alunni), non esprime la posizione ufficiale della hiesa cattolica perchè il corso «si situa dentro un punto di vista filosofico», mentre «il punto di vista della hiesa implica un approccio teologico e pastorale». Nello stabilire questa separazione radicale tra filosofia e teologia all’interno della dottrina cattolica, il vescovo di Tournai ha contraddetto due importanti encicliche di Papa Giovanni Paolo II Fides et ratio e Evangelium vitae. ondividi la notizia! La prima afferma categoricamente che «esiste una profonda e inscindibile unità tra la conoscenza della ragione e quella della fede» (§ 16) e che «la fede chiede che il suo oggetto venga compreso con l'aiuto della ragione», mentre «la ragione, al culmine della sua ricerca, ammette come necessario ciò che la fede presenta» (§ 4) e che «la natura, oggetto proprio della filosofia, può contribuire alla comprensione della rivelazione divina» (§ 43). Al contrario «La fede, privata della ragione … [corre] il rischio di non essere più una proposta universale» e «cade nel grave pericolo di essere ridotta a mito o superstizione» (§ 48). Di Fides et ratio, Mons. Harpigny ha inoltre dimenticato che «La teologia morale ha forse un bisogno ancor maggiore dell'apporto filosofico», perchè «Il Vangelo e gli scritti apostolici, comunque, propongono sia principi generali di condotta cristiana sia insegnamenti e precetti puntuali». Dunque, «per applicarli alle circostanze particolari della vita individuale e sociale, il cristiano deve essere in grado di impegnare a fondo la sua coscienza e la forza del suo ragionamento. In altre parole, ciò significa che la teologia morale deve ricorrere ad una visione filosofica corretta sia della natura umana e della società che dei principi generali di una decisione etica» (§ 68). Inoltre, il vescovo di Tournay non sembra aver letto con attenzione Evangelium vitae, la quale dichiara che i testi della Sacra Scrittura «non parlano mai di aborto volontario e quindi non presentano condanne dirette e specifiche in proposito», le quali invece derivano dalla grande considerazione che queste hanno per l'essere umano nel grembo materno, da cui si può dedurre «come conseguenza logica» (ovvero filosofica!) che anche ad esso si estenda il comandamento di Dio «non uccidere» (§ 61). Queste sono le argomentazioni che il Prof. Mercier ha sviluppato dal punto di vista filosofico nel suo corso, in piena armonia con gli insegnamenti della hiesa. n approccio che non può essere, come vorrebbe mons Harpigny, solo "teologico e pastorale". ondividi la notizia! Il Vescovo di Tournay scava dunque un fossato artificiale e non ortodosso tra la teologia e la filosofia. Nella sua lettera dichiara che lui e i suoi confratelli francofoni dell’episcopato belga «appoggiano le autorità accademiche dell’L», le quali «non devono pronunciarsi su una questione teologica o religiosa, ma sulla realizzazione di un corso di filosofia»… …come se la teologia e la filosofia fossero due rette parallele che mai si incontrano, e soprattutto come se l’L non fosse un’università cattolica! Deplorevole dal punto di vista intellettuale, questo atteggiamento rappresenta una penosa presa in giro deontologica che consiste nel dire noi vescovi purtroppo non possiamo sostenere il Sig. Mercier perché lui non insegna teologia … appoggiamo invece le autorità dell’L perché loro lo condannano in nome della filosofia! Il "omitato Organizzatore" dell'niversità attolica di Lovanio vuole forse lavarsi le mani, come Ponzio Pilato, nel nome di un "fideismo" ripugnante? Sono domande che meritano una risposta, soprattutto da parte di chi guida delle Diocesi. Noi, comunque, continueremo a vigilare sulla situazione e a sostenere il prof. Mercier che adesso dovrà cercarsi un nuovo lavoro. He emphasized the physical coming of the Kingdom of God to the earth and His return “After taking the cup, He gave thanks and said, ‘Take this and divide it among you. For I tell you I will not drink again from the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.’ And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’ In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.’” (Luke :17–) And so Yeshua taught His talmidim (disciples) that the Passover Seder was from that time on to be celebrated in remembrance of the sacrifice that He was to make of Himself in order to become an atonement for the sins of all mankind. For Messiah our Passover also has been sacrificed.’” (1 orinthians 5:7) As the blood of the Passover lamb spared firstborns from judgment in the form of the last of the ten plagues in Egypt, the blood of our Messiah spares Believers from the curse for disobeying the law. The law says in Deuteronomy 7:6, "ursed is anyone who does not uphold the words of this law by carrying them out." An example of such punishment is outlined for numerous sexual sins listed in Leviticus 18 "Everyone who does any of these detestable things — such persons must be cut off from their people.” (v. 9) Indeed, no sacrifice could cover intentionally disobeying the law. Nor could its covering of sin extend into eternity. Only the Lamb of God could redeem humankind from the curse and the punishment of disobedience, as well as give eternal life. We can know that Yeshua was this Suffering Servant and took our death penalty upon Himself as our Passover Lamb by carefully reading Passover Scriptures that foreshadow Him Foreshadow Exodus 1:5 speaks of a spotless (unblemished) lamb to be used in the Seder. Isaiah 53:11 further describes the coming Passover Lamb as being the “righteous servant.” Fulfilled Paul tells us that “God made Him [Yeshua] who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” ( orinthians 5:1) _______________ Foreshadow Exodus 1:–3 describes how the blood of the lamb is used to cover the members of the household from judgment. We can see this specifically in Luke’s account of the appearance of the Messiah on the road to Emmaus. There on that road, Yeshua interpreted these prophetic writings to His disciples saying “‘Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?’ And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning Himself.” (Luke 4:6–7) Even though Yeshua's talmidim had witnessed Him revive many people from the dead, no one had been resurrected from death to eternal life. Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that He was not abandoned to the realm of the dead, nor did His body see decay. “God has raised this Yeshua to life, and we are all witnesses of it. Quando una bomba strappato attraverso una chiesa di Alessandria d'Egitto il giorno del nuovo anno, il 11, i cristiani in tutto il mondo occidentale annaspato per lo shock. Ventuno i credenti sono stati uccisi durante l'attacco e molti altri sono stati feriti. Mentre i cristiani in Occidente guardato le notizie con incredulità, i credenti locali dicono l'attacco è stata una sorpresa.
Le risposte al feroce attacco sono state varie. Mentre alcuni gridavano vendetta, altri hanno risposto in modo diverso confidare in Dio per redimere queste vite.

Brother Andrew scrive Qual è il tuo primo pensiero quando qualcuno ti offende? Rabbia? Indignazione? Forse, se siamo onesti, i nostri cuori anche vogliono vedere un qualche tipo di ritorsione o vendetta. Ma si sa, Gesù è chiaro la vendetta non è la risposta. L'amore è. Soprattutto quando si tratta al mondo musulmano. Ecco perché, invece di ritorsione quando leggiamo di un attentato contro i nostri compagni di fede, vi suggerisco la nostra risposta dovrebbe essere il pentimento! Il pentimento non abbiamo pregato, non sono preoccupato, non sono andati al mondo musulmano di proclamare la vera vita e la libertà che abbiamo in Gesù!
Teniamoci chiedendo a Dio di cambiare veramente il nostro cuore - che potremmo amare, servire e pregare con più fervore ... per l'avanzamento del suo Regno e la gloria del suo nome nel mondo musulmano e oltre!

When a bomb ripped through a church in Alexandria, Egypt on New Year’s Day, 11, hristians across the Western world reeled with shock. Twenty-one believers were killed in the attack and many others were wounded. While hristians in the west watched the news reports with disbelief, local believers say the attack came as no surprise.
Responses to the vicious attack were varied. While some cried for revenge, others have responded differently trusting God to redeem these lives.
One explanatory story from Egypt is this Devil “I just killed 1 of your family.”
Jesus “You didn’t kill 1 of my family. You just sent them on ahead to me, and you mobilised the hurch to pray.”
Brother Andrew writes What is your first thought when someone offends you? Anger? Indignation? Perhaps, if we’re honest, our hearts even want to see some kind of retaliation or revenge. But you know, Jesus is clear revenge is not the answer. Love is. Especially when it comes to the Muslim world. That’s why, instead of retaliating when we read of a bomb attack against our fellow believers, I suggest our response should be repentance! Repentance that we have not prayed, have not cared, have not gone to the Muslim world to proclaim the true life and freedom we have in Jesus!
Let’s keep asking God to truly change our hearts — that we might love, serve and pray more fervently…for the advancement of His Kingdom and the glory of His name in the Muslim world and beyond!

Dio castiga anche le autorità di Haiaty Varotto, Dio è la guida delle nazioni, e sta dirigendo tutte le nazioni nella direzione da lui decretata. D’altronde la Scrittura dice che “il cuore del re, nella mano dell’Eterno, è come un corso d’acqua; egli lo volge dovunque gli piace” (Proverbi 1:1). Ricordatevi a tale proposito di come Faraone, re d’Egitto, si comportò verso gli Israeliti, e ciò affinché si adempisse il disegno formato da Dio. Infatti è scritto “Poi voltò il cuor loro perché odiassero il suo popolo, e macchinassero frodi contro i suoi servitori” (Salmo 15:5). Ma Dio poi trasse gloria da tutto ciò, e punì Faraone. Per cui Dio non lasciò Faraone impunito, perché Dio non lascia impunito il colpevole. Per cui è cosa certa che tutti coloro che sono in autorità e che compiono o fanno compiere del male contro il prossimo, saranno certamente puniti da Dio. Dio è un vendicatore, e non ha riguardo alla qualità delle persone. La Scrittura parla di re fatti morire da Dio per la loro iniquità, quindi nessuno si illuda, perché anche i potenti che compiono o fanno compiere malvage azioni vengono castigati da Dio. La Parola dice infatti:
“Egli fiacca i potenti, senza inchiesta; e ne stabilisce altri al loro posto; poich’egli conosce le loro azioni; li abbatte nella notte, e son fiaccati; li colpisce come dei malvagi, in presenza di tutti, perché si sono sviati da lui e non hanno posto mente ad alcuna delle sue vie; han fatto salire a lui il gemito del povero, ed egli ha dato ascolto al gemito degli infelici” (Giobbe 34:4-8).
Ed infine nessuno si dimentichi che all’inferno ci vanno pure tutte quelle autorità (re, regine, primi ministri, ministri, senatori, deputati, magistrati, ecc.) che muoiono nei loro peccati. Per cui la giustizia di Dio non fa alcun difetto. A Dio sia la gloria in risto Gesù ora e in eterno. Amen Giacinto Butindaro

As you well know, hristians in Egypt are under attack. Palm Sunday, one of the most joyful days for hristians in Egypt, ended in a painful tragedy. Two churches in the Nile Delta were hit by radical Muslim suicide bombers – killing 49 people and injuring more than 11 others.
Hundreds of hristians are still hospitalised and mourning their deceased; and with Easter weekend coming, many fear more attacks to come. One Egyptian brother said “We expect more attacks, more intense oppression, more hatred to impact the daily life of hristians in Egypt. But we will not leave Egypt; we will spread out the light we were given by His grace..."
Through your support, Open Doors is able to work with local churches to strengthen the Egyptian hurch and persecuted believers. And we hope to especially do so during this coming Easter weekend.

Domenica delle Palme, uno dei giorni più gioiosi per i cristiani in Egitto, si è conclusa in una tragedia dolorosa. Due chiese di delta del Nilo sono stati colpiti da attentatori suicidi islamici radicali - uccidendo 49 persone e ferendone più di 11.
entinaia di cristiani sono ancora ricoverati in ospedale e in lutto per i loro defunti; e con fine settimana di Pasqua a venire, molti temono nuovi attacchi a venire. n fratello egiziano ha detto:
“i aspettiamo altri attacchi, l'oppressione più intenso, più odio di impatto sulla vita quotidiana dei cristiani in Egitto. Ma non vogliamo lasciare l'Egitto; ci sarà diffondere la luce ci hanno dato per la sua grazia ..."
Attraverso il vostro sostegno, Porte Aperte è in grado di lavorare con le chiese locali per rafforzare la hiesa egiziana e credenti perseguitati. E speriamo di farlo in modo particolare durante il prossimo fine settimana di Pasqua.

e i bombardamenti in Siria purtroppo confermano il grande pericolo che migliaia di cristiani corrono soprattutto nei momenti più significativi per la nostra fede.

Infatti sono lieto di poterti dire che con alcuni giorni di anticipo è stato raggiunto l’obiettivo dei 6. € per il sostegno di un progetto sanitario in Siria realizzato sotto la supervisione dell’Associazione Pro Terra Sancta e dei frati ustodi della Terra Santa!
Grazie al tuo aiuto, aiuteremo la ustodia della Terra Santa a portare sollievo a:
- 5 persone (circa 15 famiglie) al mese, selezionate e scelte secondo il bisogno reale dai frati e dal personale sanitario a sostegno, tramite la distribuzione di medicinali.
